Dubai: The Arab Social Media Influencers forum will now be held every year, as per the orders of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Shaikh Mohammad’s order comes in response to the wishes of youth who participated in the event, and thousands of other areas of society who followed the event’s activities on social media networks around the world.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid’s Executive Office and Chairman of the organising committee of the forum, highlighted the success of the first edition, which is a natural result considering the positive response by youths to attend its sessions and interact with workshops, as well as the volume of entries received.

“This turnout stresses the need to create a platform for youth to share ideas and expertise, and present best practices in the field,” Al Gergawi said.

He underlined the need to expand the scope of the forum, introduce new creative initiatives, as well as the need to highlight more issues related to social networking and attract a larger spectrum of experts and decision-makers.
