Abu Dhabi: Eight new ambassadors were sworn in on Wednesday before His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
During the reception held at Al Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi, the ambassadors swore their allegiance to the UAE and its President, and swore to respect the nation’s constitution and its laws, and put the interests of the country before everything else.
Shaikh Mohammad instructed the ambassadors to be the UAE government’s and people’s envoys of peace, love and tolerance. Shaikh Mohammad urged them to work diligently to develop bilateral relations between the UAE and friendly countries, and to protect the interests of the UAE and its people.
The ambassadors sworn in before Shaikh Mohammad are: Mahsh Saeed Al Hameli appointed as UAE Ambassador for South Africa, Noora Mohammd Juma for Finland, Saleh Ahmad Al Suwaidi for New Zealand, Salem Ahmad Al Kaabi for Ukraine, Mohammad Eisa Al Suwaidi for Belgium, Fatima Khamis Al Mazroui for Denmark, Hanan Khalfan Al Alili for Latvia, and Dr Mohammad Ahmad Al Jaber for Kazakhstan.
Later, Shaikh Mohammad received the credentials of new ambassadors to the UAE. Shaikh Mohammad wished them success in their duties, and expressed hope that they would focus on developing relations between their respective countries and the UAE.
The ambassadors were Mohammad Sad Ouro-Sama of Togo, Faalavaau Perina Jacqueline of Samoa, Sander Soone of Estonia, Amadou Sonrhai of Niger, Wilfred Ali of Malawi, Archbishop Francisco Padilla of Vatican City, Arvydas Daunoravicius of Lithuania, Tony Joudi of the Bahamas, Angel Ramon Cibils of Paraguay, Tan Bunpa of Cambodia, Roland Beridze of Georgia, Japhet Isaack of Namibia, Boukary Sidibe of Mali, and Ni Jian of the People’s Republic of China.
The ambassadors conveyed the greetings of their leaders to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Shaikh Mohammad, wishing them good health and progress and prosperity for the UAE.
Present during the ceremonies were Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and other shaikhs and senior officials.
