Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordered Al Sufouh Street to be renamed after Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.

The move reflects Shaikh Mohammad’s appreciation of the role played by King Salman, as well as the depth of relations between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud street is a vital road that includes many prominent landmarks such as Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Al Qasr Hotel and Jumeirah Mina A’Salam Hotel.

Meanwhile, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, attended on Tuesday a reception hosted by Emad Adnan Madni, Saudi Arabia’s Consul General, on the occasion of Saudi Arabia’s National Day.

The reception held in Marriot Hotel in Dubai was also attended by Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Ahmad Abdullah Humaid Bel Houl Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education, and other senior officials.
