Dubai: The Ajman 2021 vision was launched by Shaikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, at the Government Summit yesterday.

The Ajman 2021 vision will focus on having a happy society involved in building a green economy, all with the help of a motivating government that is in line with the spirit of the union.

Shaikh Ammar said Ajman’s strategy for the year 2021 aims to fulfil the vision of the UAE as a united country.

“The UAE aims to become the best country in the world by the year 2050. Ajman’s 2021 vision aims to put the emirate on the path of fulfilling this aim by coming up with strategies that better the emirate and help reach the overall goal of the UAE.”

He also commended His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who was present at the session, adding: “Ajman 2021 initiative is a big ambition. We are learning from Shaikh Mohammad who showed us that dreams can turn into reality.”

Speaking in more detail about the vision, Saeed Saif Al Matroushi, Secretary-General of the Executive Council, said the vision will be based on four main points: happy society, green economy, distinctive government and the spirit of the union.

“Ajman will focus on having a happy society that is involved in building the country; a green economy that provides the best opportunities, all while preserving the environment; a distinctive government that communicates with its people and, most importantly, spreading the spirit of the union.”

Al Matroushi said that Ajman will also work with private companies to increase the number of Emiratis working in the private sector.
