Abu Dhabi: Motorists can now register and license their vehicles through auto agencies and showrooms, according to a new service launched by Abu Dhabi Police on Saturday.
The newly introduced service comes as part of Abu Dhabi Police strategy and aims to satisfy customers and ensure their happiness through facilitating registration and licensing procedures at auto agencies and showrooms. It also aims to offer simple services and save customers’ time and efforts.
Brigadier Mohammad Mayouf Al Ketbi, head of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said the new service is the latest in a series of e-services being offered by Abu Dhabi Police in the field of auto registration and licensing and was launched to meet the growing needs of customers and utilise the latest technologies to simplify procedures in a smart manner”.
“Auto agencies and showrooms will be granted the authority to register vehicles without having to visit service centres, Al Ketbi said, adding that Abu Dhabi Police have launched another service for individuals and institutions where they can now re-register written off vehicles on their own names or transfer ownership to other people through visiting Abu Dhabi Police website and flowing instructions without the need to visit service centres.
The number of registered vehicles in Abu Dhabi has reached 95,000 which reflects the great interests Abu Dhabi Police is taking in offering unique services as part of its strategy aiming to develop services according to the best international practices, Al Ketbi underlined.
