Dubai: Dubai Municipality announced that work has begun on a 1.1-hectare park, which will cost Dh4.69 million, in Al Twar 1 area near Bin Ketit Mosque.

The park, which is expected to be completed by 2017, is part of a proposal for developing new attractions for tourists and visitors who enjoy natural landscape and is in line with plans to increase greenery in the emirate’s residential communities.

The park will also feature two playgrounds with rubber flooring, one for those aged two to six and another for six to 12 year olds, a running track around the park, trees, bushes and lawns, in addition to seasonal flowers with an automatic irrigation system.
