Dibba Fujairah: An Emirati motorcyclist was crushed to death when his motorbike collided with a car on Al Halt road at Dibba Fujairah on Monday evening.

The 21-year-old victim, identified as R.A.R. was caught beneath the wheels of the car and police said he died instantly.

Lieutenant Abdullah Al Khuzaimi, acting director of Traffic and Patrols Department of Dibba Fujairah Police, told Gulf News that the accident took place on a road from two directions

The victim was blamed for causing the accident as his motorcycle strayed out of its lane and collided with a Suzuki car driven by a 19-year-old Emirati youth, identified as G.A.,

Traffic police patrol and an ambulance rushed to the scene and removed the body to Dibba Fujairah Hospital.

The car driver, meanwhile, has been arrested and referred to police custody for interrogation.

In a second accident, meanwhile, a Bangladeshi driver was seriously injured Monday at 3pm after his truck fell from the peak of a hill in Al Busaira area in Dibba Fujairah,Lieutenant Al Khuzami said.

The truck rolled over four times before it finally settled on the ground, police said.

As a result, the driver was seriously injured and transferred to Dibba Fujairah hospital.

His condition was reported to be critical.

Police were called for a third accident in the area in which two men from Nepali nationality sustained moderate injuries when their refrigerator truck was involved in a single-vehicle collision on the road, turned over and injured the two men.

The incident took place on Monday at 1pm near a driving school.
