Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday (Saturday) received top Emirati achievers top achievers from UAE's universities, colleges, military and police academies, and high schools, who came to extend their greetings on Ramadan.
Shaikh Mohammad congratulated them for achieving excellence through perseverance, in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
“We are proud of you academic achievement and we want from you and future generations to earn higher degrees that place you in the first ranks and qualify you to hold higher positions in the country,” Shaikh Mohammad said.
He added: “We accept nothing but number one and this goal can be attainable by young Emiratis as long as your leadership is supporting, motivating and encouraging you , with all doors are open to you, and you are equipped with opportunities to carry one and achieve higher education and gain more experience.”
He expressed his happiness at meeting Emirati students who achieved academic excellence at a Ramadan evening where the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan and the spirit of one family prevailed away from protocols.
Shaikh Mohammad wished them greater excellence and urged them to pursue education and earn higher degrees to hold future leadership positions in national institutions in serving their nation and people.
Shaikh Mohammad hosted an Iftar banquet in honour of the top-achieving students.
