Dubai: Paying tribute to the UAE on its 44th National Day, 6,958 GEMS Education students from 35 schools across the country formed the world’s ‘largest human sentence’. to wish everyone a ‘Happy National Day’.

The human sentence was formed on the sports field of GEMS Modern Academy in Dubai and validated by the Guinness World Records officials.

Dino Varkey, Group Executive Director and Board Member, GEMS Education, said: “The UAE National Day commemorates the historic union of the seven emirates. It is the perfect time to celebrate the achievements of the nation under the visionary leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

“We wish to thank parents, teachers, students and the authorities for their support,” Varkey said.

The previous record of the largest human sentence is held by the Tiens Group of China with 6,262 people forming it on May 8, 2015.
