Dubai: The Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (Getex) 2015, will open on Wednesday at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The 27th edition of the exhibition will showcase the most diverse array of regional and global education and training options under one roof, to help students learn about these universities latest offerings.

The event will see 350 education providers from 38 countries, who will gather at the venue to feature their latest offerings before an expected 35,000 visitors.

Anselm Godinho, Managing Director, International Conferences and Exhibitions, organiser of Getex, said: “The annual Getex serves the needs of the local student community and offers education providers the opportunity to personally engage with aspiring students. Furthermore, it gives students the opportunity to compare the various study alternatives available to them, evaluate fee structures, and get information that is crucial to their decision making process. Getex also provides an open platform where learners can seek advice from career guidance counsellors who will be on hand to provide their professional services to students.”

Among the highlights of this year’s edition are the Getex Counsellor’s Forum, a professional development platform designed for counsellors by counsellors; the Getex Career Advisory session, an initiative for providing school-leaving students the opportunity to seek counsel with career leaders and advisers; and the Getex-sponsored ‘International Universities Networking Conference Middle East & Africa 2015’ (IUNC Middle East & Africa 2015), an event that will connect more than 300 international education providers looking for value-added business-to-business networking opportunities.
