Dubai: Vision Concept Aviation Training Institute (VCATI), welcomed its first batch of students at an orientation day on Sunday.

Students enrolled at VCATI are from diverse nations and backgrounds across Asia and Africa. Almost half the batch consists of overseas students travelling to Dubai for the two-year programme, according to a press release issued by VCATI.

The institute has signed agreements with leading companies such as Air Arabia, SR Technics and Kratis to place eligible students in internships so they can gain the experience required to get placements.

Mohammad Obaid Al Suwaidi, Founder of VCATI said: “ The institute is confident of making a difference to the aviation industry and the lives of those who aspire to be a part of it.

He said the two-year-course, beginning in October, has been endorsed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and approved by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). “Our students will be licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) eligible to work in the aviation industry anywhere in the world.”

He added that apart from academic training, the students will be trained in soft skills and management practices so that they are the finest candidates and enter the industry with the right attitude and comprehensive skills.”
