AUS to hold cyber security boot camp

Three-day event to be held in university library for students and industry professionals

Sharjah: The American University of Sharjah (AUS) will hold a three-day boot camp intended to raise awareness about the latest cyber security attacks and preventative methods that decrease the risks of hacking.

The camp will be open for students and professionals who wish to expand their knowledge in computer and network security, on January 21 to 23, 2014 from 9am to 4pm at the AUS Library.

It will include lectures, live demonstrations, real‐world examples and interactive practical labs by Dr Fadi Aloul, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, AUS Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

All participants that complete the camp will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
