Abu Dhabi: Public schools in the emirate of Abu Dhabi will soon have their own websites, the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) announced in a statement sent on Monday.

The websites will be linked directly with Adec’s main portal, and will provide a link between parents, the school and other parties.

Each school website will provide general information about the school structure, events calendar, media information and other useful links, the Adec statement said.

Seven schools in the emirate have been selected to implement the first phase of the project. The results from this pilot phase will be reviewed before the second phase, which involves 50 schools, is begun. In the third phase, all Abu Dhabi schools will have their own websites.
