Sharjah: The 18th National Career Exhibition will have a renewed focus on emiratisation, it was revealed at a press conference on Wednesday.

The career fair will be held at the Expo Centre Sharjah on February 10-12.

The event aims to provide Emirati graduates with a platform to meet possible job and internship providers.

The show will feature ministries and government organisations, banks insurance firms, money exchanges, free zones, financial consultants and recruitment companies, offering Emiratis a variety of job opportunities.

A new logo was also revealed during the press conference by Saif Mohammad Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah.

“The new logo for the National Career Exhibition signifies the renewed focus on emiratisation, and further supports government policies and initiatives that are aimed at fostering a conducive environment for Emiratis to pursue a meaningful career in both public and private sector establishments,” Al Midfa said.

Emirati graduates, whether high school graduates or holders of bachelor’s or master’s degrees, can also take advantage of training programmes offered by various establishments that ensure that Emiratis are provided with educational support and hands-on job training that will help them grow within the organisation.

The UAE Armed Forces will continue to be the Platinum Sponsor of the exhibition, and, given that a variety of job openings at all its wings like Army, Air Force, Air Defence, Navy and Presidential Guard will be available, it will have one of the biggest stalls at the event,” Al Midfa said.

Once again, leading lenders in the country such as Sharjah Islamic Bank, Commercial Bank of Dubai and National Bank of Abu Dhabi will be Gold Sponsors.

For the first time, Federal Electricity and Water Authority, Department of e-Government – Sharjah, Ministry of Health, Dubai Parks and Resorts and several other companies have confirmed their participation at the show.

Apart from attracting talented Emiratis, exhibitors also stand to gain by acquiring critical updates on the latest government policy guidelines with regard to emiratisation.
