Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police arrested two African people who robbed people after distracting their attention by spitting on them or spraying a liquid on them.
The suspects first spit or spray a liquid and distracted the attention of the person from their wallet or the money and very smartly stole their money. The police received a complaint that a person spit on him and tried to steal his money.
The police said such crimes happen mostly in crowded areas and the inspectors focus particularly on such places.
In another case, another African national sprayed a liquid substance on the face of a person when he stepped out of a bank and tried to rob his money. However, the police arrested the criminal.
Police urged people to be cautious when exiting banks and when they are at crowded places, and asked them to avoid carrying large amounts of money.
