Ras Al Khaimah: Two drug dealers have been arrested in Ras Al Khaimah after officers found a large quantity of narcotic substances in their possession,

A total of 7,460 tramadol tablets were found in their possession, Colonel Ebrahim Ali Kaptin, director-general of the Ras Al Khaimah Police’s Anti-Narcotics Department, said.

One suspect is an Arab national while the other does not carry official documents. Authorities received information about the suspects who were promoting drugs in the emirate. They were arrested in a trap laid for them. They confessed to burying tramadol pills under a tree at a deserted farm. Police went to the farm and recovered the drugs.

The case has been referred to the public prosecution.

Colonel Kaptin pointed out that drugs have a direct impact on the human mind, citing the need to focus on the 14-30 age group to make them aware of the consequences of addiction, as they can easily fall into the trap of drug dealers.

Major General Ali Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, lauded the cooperation of police departments in the country.
