Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issued a resolution promoting 1,801 Dubai police officers and members.

The resolution promoted Brigadier Pilot Anas Abdul Rahman Al Matroushi, Director of the Dubai Police Department of Transport and Rescue, and Brigadier Al Sallal Saeed Bin Huwaidi Al Falasi, Director of the Dubai Police Department of Administrative Affairs, to the rank of major general.

Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Dubai Police Chief, thanked Shaikh Mohammad and congratulated the promoted officers.

Under the resolution, eight police officers have been promoted from the rank of colonel to brigadier, 17 officers from the rank of lieutenant colonel to colonel, 54 officers from the rank of major to lieutenant colonel, and 60 officers from the rank of captain to major, 68 officers with the rank of lieutenant to captain, and 106 officers from lieutenant to the rank of first lieutenant.

The resolution also includes promoting 95 staff warrant officer to the rank of lieutenant, 49 warrant officers to the rank of first warrant officers, 24 from first sergeant to warrant officer, 40 from sergeant to the rank of first sergeant, 120 from corporals to sergeants, 80 from the rank of corporal to first corporal, 716 from the rank of first policeman to corporal, and 362 from the rank of policeman to first policeman.
