Sharjah: Police have arrested an African man for suspected fraud after he was accused of using forged credit cards and identification to buy gold from jewellery shops in Sharjah.

Police were tipped off about the suspect possessing forged credit cards and looking for a jewellery shop that would help him use the forged cards.

A team of investigators launched a manhut and arrested the suspect.
The man is identified as A.W.M. is from Nigeria.

Police found in his possession a number of credit cards in different names issued by different banks outside the country.

Police investigations revealed that the suspect had a forged visit visa in his possession.
