Ajman: Police have arrested an Asian man suspected to be involved in the death of his colleague whose body was found in a decomposed state in Al Jurf Industrial Area in Ajman.
The body of the victim had stab wounds and Criminal Investigation Department agents found it lying on the ground, covered with blood.
The police said the suspect, identified as S.K., was arrested for allegedly killing the victim using a sharp tool.
Major Ahmad Saeed Al Nuaimi, deputy director of CID, said the police were able to uncover the case after an intensive investigation.
Police formed a team immediately after the body was found.
The team initially suspected several people. Further investigation helped the police identify the suspect and arrest him from Sharjah.
The police found the suspect hiding in a warehouse in Al Sajja area in Sharjah.
During police interrogation, the suspect said he and the deceased had a dispute and he stabbed the latter on his head and abdomen.
The suspect also admitted he buried the sharp tool near the crime scene and fled.
The case has been transferred to the Public Prosecution.
