Ras Al Khaimah: An eight-year-old Emirati girl died while her seven-year-old sister is fighting for life at Saqr Hospital after a three-car collision.

The accident happened early on Monday in Al Dhait area of Ras Al Khaimah.

Brigadier Hassan Ebrahim Ali, deputy director of Ras Al Khaimah Police central operations, said a team rushed to the spor after the control room received a call reporting the accident.

Police found that the victims’ car, driven by their 32-year-old mother, crashed into another car driven by a 33-year-old Emirati woman that suddenly entered the highway from a side road.

As a result, the victims’ car moved to the other lane, hitting another car driven by an Asian man.

The Emirati girl was pronounced dead at the scene while her sister was taken to the hospital in a critical condition.

The drivers of the three cars also sustained injures and were hospitalised.

The police blamed the second woman for not making sure that the road was clear.
