Sharjah: The Central Investigation Department (CID) arrested four people for taking part in betting and gambling in Al Ghuwair area in Sharjah.
The four men, two from Bangladesh and two from Pakistan, were charged with taking part in illegal practices. Through the implementation of strategic policies, the CID was able to track down the offenders who have been referred to the public prosecutor in Sharjah.
Gambling and betting are not allowed in the UAE and will not be tolerated, said Sharjah Police.
Police also urge the public to stay away from prohibited behaviour and practices as they violate the country’s laws.
