Sharjah: Sharjah police have launch a manhunt after an expensive white gold necklace with diamonds has been stolen from an exhibition at Sharjah Expo, an official at Sharjah Police told Gulf News.

The theft was discovered at the end of the Mideast Watch and Jewellery Show, which was held in Sharjah Expo from April 5 to 9.

Police operation room received call on Friday from the store owner who reported the incident.

The store owner told police that he discovered the necklace, which was worth Dh400,000 disappeared on the last day of the exhibition as he packed his jewellery pieces.

He told police that he was not able to immediately notice that the necklace was missing since there was a huge number of visitors on the last day of the show and he was busy with them.

The necklace was owned by K.S. store.

 

Al Buhairah Police station is probing the incident.
