Accident victims’ bodies repatriated from Saudi Arabia

Deceased include Emirati couple; three injured sisters brought to UAE

Abu Dhabi: The bodies of two Emirati victims who died in a road incident in Saudi Arabia have been repatriated under orders by Lt General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.

In coordination with the UAE Armed Forces, a number of injured individuals have also been transported for treatment, according to WAM.

As confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the five member family was safely taken from KSA to the UAE capital after cooperation between the two countries.

The deceased included the mother and father who are survived by their three daughters. The accident occurred as the family was travelling on Al Riyadh International road. The mother and father died on the sport, while three sisters sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The victims’ identities have not been revealed.
