Men broke into company using tools and stole from safes
Dubai: Two Pakistani men have been charged with theft while carrying a weapon — tools — to break into a company and its safes to steal money and mobile phones.
The Dubai Public Prosecution transferred the men to the criminal court.
The two suspects, K.B.L., 52, and S.T.M.T., 28, broke into the company after working hours, and stole eight used mobile phones, Dh5,000, 1,750 euros (around Dh7,226), and $650 (Dh2,387) from two safes.
They also damaged property worth around Dh3,700, according to court documents.
One of the company’s partners reported the incident the following morning when he saw what had happened.
The men were identified through CCTV footage, and they were arrested on July 13 at their homes in Sharjah.
During police questioning, they admitted to the crime and to burgling other companies using the same criminal method, with the help of another suspect who is at large.
The next hearing will be held on October 5.
