Dubai: Three women have been accused of prostitution after a man, who had Dh1 million in cash, walked into their flat to have sex with one of them before they stole Dh200,000 from him.

The Nigerian man, B.Z., was said to have been lured to a flat in Al Nakheel area to have sex with a Ugandan woman when he discovered that Dh200,000 of the Dh1 million he was carrying was missing in February.

B.Z. rushed to the nearest police station to complain that he had been robbed. Later, police found that the three women, 27-year-old R.N., 35-year-old L.N. and 32-year-old S.N., were working as prostitutes.

The prosecutors referred them to the Dubai Court of First Instance where they pleaded guilty on Tuesday.

Records said the three women were also referred to the Dubai Misdemeanours Court where they stood trial for robbing B.Z.

The Nigerian man and L.N. were also tried before the Misdemeanours Court for having consensual sex.

When asked by presiding judge Mohammad Jamal if they had had sex with men for money, R.N. contended: “Yes, we work as prostitutes and we used to have sex with men for money.”

A policeman claimed to prosecutors that B.Z. walked into the police station and complained that he had been robbed at 12.30am.

“He said that he entered the flat to have paid sex with L.N. He put his Dh1 million beside the bed … he claimed that the other two suspects [R.N. and S.N.] stole Dh200,000. The Nigerian man alleged that he tried to restrain L.N., but she and the other two ran away. Primary interrogations revealed that the Ugandan women lived in Sharjah. They were apprehended in cooperation with Sharjah Police.

During questioning, the trio admitted that they stole B.Z.’s money. They also admitted that they worked in prostitution and used to charge each client Dh50. Upon examining the mobile of one of the suspects, a video footage was found of the trio celebrating their robbery,” the policeman testified to prosecutors.

The Court of First Instance will hand out a ruling on June 19.

Meanwhile the Misdemeanours Court’s ruling will be heard on May 30.
