Dubai: Dubai Courts Department [DCD] has won three prestigious international awards recognising the Department’s innovation and excellence in the judicial field.
In an award ceremony to be held in Canada on October 28, three Stevie Awards will be presented to DCD at the 12th International Business Awards (IBA), the world’s premier business awards that recognise corporate innovation and excellence within the international business community, a media statement said on Wednesday.
The coveted awards conferred on the Dubai Courts Department demonstrate the legal and judicial excellence in the emirate, said Tarish Eid Al Mansouri, DCD’s director-general.
“This recognition reflects DCD’s leading position and further boosts our efforts to raise the bar in the legal and judicial system. These awards reaffirm the department’s remarkable success in providing outstanding integrated services and innovative solutions according to the highest regional and international standards,” said Al Mansouri.
“The Stevie Awards are in recognition of our hard work to fulfil the ongoing commitment to the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,” he added.
“This new achievement urges us to continue further with our forward-looking plans aimed at consolidating the emirate’s leading position in the international legal landscape. Our strategies are also aligned with Dubai Plan 2021, which aims to establish a transparent and reliable government that ensures impartial application of laws and regulations,” Al Mansouri added.
Mohammad Ahmad Al Obaidli, director of DCD’s Case Services Section, was the Bronze Stevie winner under the ‘Innovator of the Year — Asia and Oceania’ category in recognition of his unwavering efforts to help facilitate litigation proceedings, empower society with easy access to efficient solutions for legal disputes, and promote customer happiness.
DCD’s legal consultation program, ‘Shoor’, won the Bronze Stevie Award under the ‘Customer Service Team of the Year — All Other Industries’ category. The third Bronze Stevie Award, the ‘Customer Service Department of the Year — All Other Industries’, was conferred on DCD’s Central Services Division which offers 27 legal services to customers 12 hours a day via a single platform.
