Dubai: A driver, who secretly filmed a woman having sex with his friend and then threatened to circulate the video clip if she didn’t sleep with him, has been jailed for six months.
The 36-year-old Pakistani driver, G.M., is accused of secretly filming his countryman friend, S.T., and the Filipina woman having sex in September.
The Dubai Court of First Instance on Thursday convicted G.M. of molesting the woman and threatening to dishonour her.
The accused denied the accusations in court.
Prosecutors also accused the defendant of molesting the woman by kissing and groping her after filming her.
Presiding judge Ezzat Abdul Lat said the defendant will be deported dafter serving his jail term.
S.T. has been referred to the Dubai Misdemeanours Court for indulging in consensual sex.
The 27-year-old Filipina claimed that S.T. picked her up from Sharjah and took her to his residence in Al Ghusais at 8.30pm. She said the defendant came to the room pushed S.T. away and slapped him. He asked to have sex with her and when she refused, he groped her.
“When I tried to move away, he claimed that he had filmed me secretly while I was with S.T. He said if I refused to have sex with him, he would publish my nude photos. I promised to meet him the next day. He dropped me home… the next day I did not answer his persistent calls. He sent me two messages saying [ok] and [done]. I felt scared and reported the matter to the police,” she said.
The ruling remains subject to appeal within 15 days.
