Sana’a: A 30-year-old man from the southern province of Taiz hung his 3-year-old son to spite his wife after a furious row between them, police have said.

Intending to make her enraged, the father, identified as A.A. Glan, fastened a rope around his son’s neck and left him to die.

According to the ministry of interior’s website, the man fled the scene after killing his son and police have launched a nationwide hunt.

Separately, police said a young man was arrested in the district of Al Saira, Ibb province, who was accused of killing a 50-year-old proctor. The accused shot dead the proctor when he denied him from helping his friend who was writing an exam. A student was also hurt in the attack.
