Yemen to sell seized Iranian ship at auction
The ship was loaded with various kinds of weapons and was headed to the Al Houthi rebels' area
Sana'a: The Yemeni government has decided to put up for auction an Iranian ship seized in September 2009 off the Yemeni coast, a security officer said.
The ship was loaded with different kinds of weapons and was headed to the northern Al Houthi rebels' area.
Brigade Ahmad Mushili, the commander of the Coast Guard, told Al Gumhuria daily on Wednesday that the Sana'a Appeal court decided to release the ship's crew but put the ship on sale by the end of this month.
Yemen has repeatedly accused Iran of meddling into its internal affairs by funding Al Houthi rebels who battled the government in a six-year war.
