Yemen rights group calls for release of detainees
A Yemeni human rights group has demanded the release of 135 Al Houthi supporters detained during the war.

Sana'a: A Yemeni human rights group has demanded the release of 135 Al Houthi supporters detained during the war.
The authorities detained the 135 men during and after armed confrontations with rebels in the outskirts of the capital Sana'a over the past few months, said the human rights group on Monday.
All detentions took place in villages in the Bani Hushaish district, 20km north of the capital, where armed tribesmen revolted in an attempt to support the Al Houthi armed rebellion in Sa'ada from May until the war stopped on July 7.
A total of 26 of the detainees were forced to disappear, according to the Yemeni Organisation for Defending Democratic Rights and Freedoms, a local NGO, which published the names of the 135 detainees with dates and the place of arrest.
Deep concerns
The organisation also said that eight men were arrested after the declaration of the war on July 7.
Officials at the Ministry of Interior declined to comment on the alleged detentions.
The right group expressed "deep concern over violating the law" and demanded investigations by prosecutors and the release of those not accused of crimes.
