Riyadh: Yemen’s Vice-President and Prime Minister Khalid Bahah has said that his government is committed to ending the war and stopping the killings and damage to property being committed by Al Houthi and Saleh groups against the people of Yemen.

Bahah, during a meeting with the US Ambassador to Yemen, Matthew H. Tueller, yesterday at his residence in Riyadh, said his government is prepared to restore stability to Yemen and end the sufferings of the people of Yemen in some areas and governorates.

He said the government and local authorities are on the ground in all the liberated areas. Work is underway to restore security, bring relief aid and start rebuilding process, he said.

Bahah said work is under way to restore normality in all the liberated areas in cooperation with the coalition states, notably, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

The US envoy stressed Washington’s interest in restoring security and stability to all Yemeni cities, reiterating support to the legitimate government. He said the US condemns the practices of the coup leaders against the people of Yemen.
