Aden: The Emirates Red Crescent Authority opened 10 schools in the second phase of reconstructing schools in Aden and providing all educational accessories.
The opening of these schools took place in the presence of Dr Mohammad Atiq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the Red Crescent authority, and an accompanying delegation, after restoring, rehabilitating and equipping the schools to receive students out of 154 school where the UAE Red Crescent was committed to re-building them, maintain and furnish them fully with office equipment and educational appliances, this school year.
School bags were also distributed along with stationery to school students who have grouped themselves in their classrooms in various stages of education at the level of the schools of Aden’d eight governorates.
The student’s parents expressed their thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the UAE for the return to normalcy in Aden after all government and many public and private facilities were badly hit in the country.
Dr. Mohammad Atiq Al Falahi said that under the directives of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority , the Authority teams in the governorate of Aden follow-up humanitarian efforts in various service sectors in order to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
On the other hand, the first batch of pumps and water and sanitation supplies reached Aden port from the UAE to restart the water stations and the sewage network in Aden where the Red Crescent is playing a prominent and significant role in the implementation of the re-rehabilitation and maintenance of many different government facilities across Aden in the implementation of the maintenance of infrastructure and health sectors projects and water and electricity projects and the provision of economic, trade and social projects for the benefit of the families and children of martyrs in Aden and distribution of food parcels to the residents of Aden.
The UAE Red Crescent authority also approved the adoption of the municipality of Aden Project to secure 16 trucks and 1,600 containers for the benefit of the municipality of Aden to facilitate cleaning and the work of collecting and transporting waste and other work for the municipality for the benefit of the inhabitants of Aden and its directorates.
