Al Mukalla, Yemen: An Al Qaida leader was killed as he was carrying out an operation disguised as a woman, according to a video footage that emerged late on Wednesday.

The footage taken  following the liberation of this strategic Yemeni city shows the unmasked  terrorist had put on a bra and abaya to hide his identity.

He even had elaborate henna designs (a reddish-brown dye made from the powdered leaves applied on the human body)  on his hands.

Women of the southern Asian and some Arabian cultures use henna designs to beautify and adorn themselves for special occasions. Men are not allowed to wear henna on their hands or feet.

Al Qaida had been pushed out of Al Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout, at a stunning speed; following the advance of government troops backed by the Saudi-led Arab coalition forces.

The governor of Hadramout, Major General Ahmad Bin Bourek, said the situation in Al Mukalla is "improving quickly" and that his troops are working to bring about security and stability in the city and other regions.
