Sana'a: Dozens of Yemeni soldiers were killed and others injured on Monday in the capital when a suicide bomber blew himself up amid hundreds of soldiers rehearsing for a military parade, local media sources said.

Twenty soldiers were killed in the bombing, Yemeni officials said.

Wwitnesses said that the bomber, dressed in military clothes, managed to sneak into the midst of a battalion of soldiers training for a big military parade to mark the 22th anniversary of Yemen's unification.

None claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.

The Ministry of Defense said that the attack occurred as Defense Minister Mohammad Nasser Ahmad and other senior security officials were watching the parade. The officials were unhurt in the attack.
