Abu Dhabi: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) yesterday inaugurated the refurbished Prosthetics Centre and Association for Developing People with Special Needs in Mansourah, Aden, in the presence of Jaafar Mohammad Saad, Aden’s governor, and a number of officials.

The works included maintenance and refurbishment of buildings, in addition to maintenance of water, electricity and sewerage systems for both centres, at a cost of more than Dh500,000, Red Crescent said in a report. The Red Crescent has allocated over Dh74 million for rehabilitation and maintenance to operate health and therapeutic projects in the governorate of Aden.

ERC will rebuild and refurbish Khalifa Hospital along with two other facilities, as well as equipping and operating the Dialysis Centre at the Republic hospital, at a cost of Dh35 million.
