Rebels raid village and ransack Jews' homes in Yemen
The Al Houthi rebels in north of Yemen on Sunday attacked Al Salem village, plundered properties of Jews staying there, witnesses said.

Sanaa: The Al Houthi rebels in north of Yemen on Sunday attacked Al Salem village, plundered properties of Jews staying there, witnesses said.
The Jews were not in the village at the time of attack. They have been living in a residential complex in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on the expense of the government since they were forced out of their village by rebels early last year.
The group of Jews number about 50, according to sources in their residence here in Sanaa.
The witnesses in Al Salem where battles are going on between the Al Houthi rebels and tribesmen loyal to the government, said they saw the rebels entering the houses and taking everything with them.
According to local sources, about 15 people, including seven rebels, were killed and 25 others injured from the two sides in the confrontations which erupted earlier this week after mutual accusation between the rebels and Shaikh Shaye'e Bukhtan supporters.
Al Houthi accused Shaikh Bukhtan of cooperating with the government.
The tribesmen, in turn, accused Al Houthi rebels of killing some of their members during previous confrontation between the two sides.
Meanwhile, official sources said the presidential committee in charge of implementing a Qatari-brokered deal to end the armed rebellion, has reached an agreement with the Al Houthi about the seventh clause relating to the rebels returning from the mountains and the government troops being deployed there instead. Member of the committee Mohammad Al Khawi said rebel leader Al Houthi agreed to implement the seventh clause, to come down from the mountains, in coincidence with implementation of the other clauses.
“There is a positive reaction from Al Houthi side,'' he said.
The Qatari delegation, which spent about three days negotiating with rebel leader Abdul Malek Al Houthi in their stronghold of Mutara near the border with Saudi Arabia last week, exerted efforts in convincing Al Houthi to accept the deal.
