Abyan, Yemen: The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, is continuing its humanitarian and relief initiatives to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and strengthen their resilience in the face of difficult circumstances.
Within the framework of its efforts to provide aid to the most affected areas, the Emirates Red Crescent has reached one of the poorest areas, Al Mahfad Directorate in the province of Abyan.
The ERC team provided food materials and clean drinking water to 3,000 people in the directorate, which has been liberated from Al Qaida.
The beneficiaries extended their thanks and appreciation to the UAE and its leadership for providing the much-needed humanitarian assistance. Local officials in Abyan also expressed their appreciation to the role played by the ERC in all walks of life such as health, education and other vital sectors.
