Muscat: An Omani hospital was preparing to receive 50 injured Yemenis on Tuesday, official sources told Gulf News,.

The sources added that this will be second batch received by Al Khoula Hospital after the hospital received 28 Yemenis , mostly children, last month due to clashes in the country that followed the Al Houthi militia’s takeover of the capital Sana’a and its advance towards the southern city of Aden..

So far, more than 90 Yemenis have been treated in different Omani hospitals.

Sources from Al Khoula hospital affirmed that most of those treated since last month are in stable conditions.

An official source at the Omani Foreign Ministry earlier said the arrival of 40 wounded Yemeni nationals to receive treatment in the Sultanate last March was in line with the policies that Sultan Qaboos bin Said, in the spirit of good neighbourliness.

Meanwhile, hundreds of foreigners have fled Yemen via Oman’s southern border posts due to the ongoing conflict there. Oman has provided the passage to more than 352 foreigners of different nationalities from Yemen.
