Woman killed in horrific road accident in Umm Al Quwain
Police believe the driver could have fallen asleep just before the accident
Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Bin Aran, Director of Traffic and Patrol Department in Umm Al Quwain, said that the accident took place on Friday around 11.30pm when the car driven by a woman suddenly swerved off the road and overturned on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road near Exit 93 in Umm Al Quwain.
Lt Col Bin Aran said that they believed the accident occurred after she apparently fell asleep as she was tired, The woman was rushed to Umm Al Quwain Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The other female driver and her children sustained minor to moderate injuries and they are under treament at the hospital.
