Al Ain: A significant drop in temperature is likely from Thursday at least for the next three days as strong and cold Shamal (north-westerly) winds will hit the country.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has issued a weather alert asking people to be aware of dusty and cold winds across the country and rough sea. The centre expects blowing sand and suspended dust over scattered areas. The maximum temperature will be 31C and minimum 12C.

The weather will be partly cloudy and hazy in general. The amount of clouds will gradually increase over different areas, especially in the north with a chance of rainfall especially at night. The NCMS has requesting motorists to attentive on the roads and take precaution due to the reduction in the horizontal visibility. Sailors and fishermen have also be advised to stay away from the sea.
