Dubai: Lower temperatures will return in the UAE after unseasonably warm weather for the past three days.

Ahmad Habib, a weather forecaster at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), told Gulf News that the UAE has been experiencing relatively warm weather for the month of February because of the winds coming from the south.

The weather on Saturday reached 30 degrees Celsius and on Sunday it went up to 29C, which is relatively high for the month of February.

“It is high, but it is still within the normal range and it is not the first time that this has happened. The wind coming from the south is from the desert areas and so it is making the weather warm. But starting Sunday night the temperatures will decrease again in most areas. It will reach 14C to 16C depending on the area. By Monday the temperature will decrease gradually in all of the UAE.”

According to the NCMS weather forecast, the temperature on Monday will range between 26C to 28C during the day, depending on the area. At night the temperature will go down to 12C to 16C, depending on the area.

The weather on Monday will be partly cloudy over some areas, with a further drop in temperatures. There will be an increase in relative humidity by night and early morning over some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of scattered fog formation, the NCMS forecast predicts.

On Tuesday the weather will be fair to partly cloudy over some areas. The sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea. There will also be an increase in humidity by night and early morning over some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog formation.
