Al Ain: The cold wave that hit the country for the last four days has ended and forecasters expect a gradual rise in temperature from Tuesday.

Weather reports from around the world

A new weather system has developed over the Arabian Peninsula that will give rain in western Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iran, but it will create warmer conditions in the UAE, said the forecasters.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) foresees a rise in temperature, adding that there are chances of light rain in the western region Tuesday.

The weather will be partly cloudy in general.

"The number of clouds will increase over some western areas with a chance of light rain at times," said the NCMS weather forecast.

The centre recorded some light rain measuring 0.4mm to 0.8mm in A Quoa, a town some 100km in the south of Al Ain, and adjacent towns such as Mezaira, Owtaid, and Umm Al Zimul in the western region of Abu Dhabi.

The daytime temperatures will tend to rise gradually. Winds are likely to be light to moderately rough in general but may gain strength at times. The sea will also be moderately rough with two to four feet high waves offshore.
