Al Ain: A comparatively thin layer of fog covered some of the coastal and inland cities, including Abu Dhabi and parts of Dubai, causing less traffic problems on Tuesday morning.
The fog cover, said the forecasters, was initially dense and in patches at around midnight in Khalifa City 1 in Abu Dhabi, Dubai-Abu Dhabi Road, Ras Al Khaimah and some parts of Sharjah. It later scattered with slight improvement in visibility.
“Visibility was much better than Monday, though it still created problem for motorists in some inland areas,” said the forecaster.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) visibility was 4,500 meters at Abu Dhabi airport, 5,000 meters at Al Bateen airport, and 6,000 meters at Jebel Ali airport at around 5am on Tuesday morning.
The NCMS said weather will be partly cloudy on Tuesday, becoming hazy at times in some areas.
The amount of clouds will increase gradually over the sea and UAE islands in the Arabian Gulf by night.
Daytime temperature is expected to rise slightly, particularly in the western areas of Abu Dhabi. With a rise in humidity at night, there are chances of fog in coastal areas, especially in the northern coastline.
The maximum temperature will hover around 32 degree Celsius, dropping down to 12 to 17 degrees at night.
