Dubai: Have that umbrella or raincoat ready with you on Sunday, Monday, and possibly on Tuesday, as the national weather bureau says there are chances of rain on the first three days of this week.

Weather in the country on Sunday will be partly cloudy in general. But cloud cover will increase gradually by evening over scattered areas that could bring rain in various parts of the country, based on a three-day weather report from the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

Monday could be rainy and the amount of cloud in the sky will further increase, causing a significant drop in temperature, but figures have yet to be released. Moderate to fresh winds will cause hazy or dusty conditions, especially in open areas.

Rainclouds are to be expected in the morning on Tuesday in the far north and eastern parts of the country.

NCMS has warned the public against heading out to sea as it will be rough starting from Sunday evening for at least three days. The bureau also cautioned motorists to drive carefully as visibility will deteriorate over the next few days due to dust particles suspended in the air because of the windy conditions.

Saturday experienced unseasonably warm temperatures during the day with temperatures ranging between 13 to 27 degrees Celsius in coastal areas and 7C to 30C in internal areas. Saturday’s lowest temperature was recorded in Raknah at 5.9C at 7.15am.
