Dubai: Rain fell on parts of Dubai and Sharjah on Wednesday morning, slowing down traffic in areas like Ras Al Khor in Dubai.

The Dubai Meteorological Office said the weather will remain partly cloudy all day, with chances of isolated showers and light rain in the afternoon. The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said that partly cloudy weather will continue in general but it could become cloudy at times in the western parts of the country at around noon with chances of rain in the area.

Rain clouds are expected to cover the skies over the western coastline, stretching from Umm Al Quwain to Abu Dhabi and right down to Al Ghuweifat with the chance of scattered rain in the area.

The temperature will reach a high of 33 degrees Celcius, with the temperature expected to dip to 24 degrees Celcius on Wednesday night.

The weather is expected to be partly cloudy in the next few days, the Dubai Meteorological Office said. Strong winds could also kick up dust and sand in pushing the visibility to lower levels.
