Dubai: Cool temperatures will continue in the UAE after some areas enjoyed a light drizzle on Monday morning. The National Centre of Meteorology & Seismology (NCMS) said that although it was unlikely to rain again, the cloudy and cool weather will continue.

“It is highly unlikely that it will rain again,” an official from NCMS said, “However, we are still looking at cloudy skies. Residents will enjoy the cooler weather as the drop in temperature will prevail. It will be even chiller at night.”

Visibility may be impaired by the wintry climate with winds blowing at 35-45km/h overland and 45-60km/h overseas. Winds are expected to weaken gradually during the night, while humidity will increase during that time and decrease by morning. Temperatures in the coastal area will reach an average high of 23 degrees Celsius and an average low of 15 degrees Celsius. Internal areas will experience an average high of 25 degrees and a minimum temperature of eight to 14 degrees.

“The Northwesterly winds will be moderate to fresh and strong over the sea, causing dust to blow over open areas, especially westwards,” he said, “This may reduce horizontal visibility at times.”

According to the NCMS forecast, the sea will be very rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea.
