Al Ain: A significant fall in daytime temperature is expected on Wednesday as remnants of the disturbed weather still have some influence over the UAE.

Weather reports from around the world

The weather will be partly cloudy in general across the emirates with a chance of light rain at time, said the national weather bureau. The system, which has given light to moderate rain in the UAE, has moved away from over Iran to Pakistan and Afghanistan leaving behind a weakening influence.

The winds will be moderately rough but strong over the sea. They could kick up dust and sand in the western region of the country and in the open areas. The dust could reduce the horizontal visibility, according to the weather bulletin of the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

The sea will be rough to very rough as the forecasters expect strong winds to generate seven to 10 feet high waves. Fishermen and joy-riders have been advised to stay away from the sea. Motorists are also warned to be alert on the roads passing through open areas as poor visibility could create problem for them.

According to the NCMS, most of the rainfall was from light to traces in the county. The highest amount of rain until 3:30pm on Tuesday was just 5mm in the area of Suwaihan, followed by 3mm each in Al Faqqa and Al Shuwaib, 1.8mm in Al Khazna and Madinat Zayed, 0.8mm at Abu Dhabi Airport, 0.6mm in Al Dahid, 0.4mm in Hatta, 0.2mm at Al Ain Airport, and 0.1mm at Fujairah and Sharjah airports.
