Al Ain: Weather forecasters expect light rain on Sunday in scattered areas across the emirates as conditions are expected to grow partly cloudy in general.
A spell of strong Shamal (north-westerly) winds that are pushing in a cold wave in the country have also disturbed to the Arabian Sea.
"We have recorded some five to seven feet high waves offshore early today morning," said a forecaster. Winds are strong over the sea that has made it rough, he said.
He said the weather is turning unsettled and will bring in clouds that are expected to give light rain at times.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), has warned people to be aware of windy and dusty conditions in the coastal and western region of the country.
The visibility will go down to less than 1,500 metres due to the suspended dust in the air in the western region.
"We also expect a slight fall in the daytime temperatures," said the NCMS weather bulletin.
Relative humidity is also likely to increase at night and early in the morning in the coastal and internal areas with a chance of mist.
The temperatures on Sunday are expected to be between 12 to 25 degrees Celsius in the coastal areas, 5 degrees Celcius to 27 degrees Celcius in the internal, and 6 degrees Celcius to 19 degrees Celcius in the mountainous areas.
