Abu Dhabi: The hazy and partially cloudy weather in the UAE is due to the thermal effects caused by India's monsoon season, an official from the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), said on Wednesday.
"Every year during the monsoon season, which is usually from early June until the end of September, countries in the Middle East and even parts of Europe become affected by the weather changes it causes, which include increased temperature fluctuations," the meteorologist explained.
Fluctuations
The fluctuations will continue over the weekend before decreasing early next week and include hazy conditions throughout the UAE. Some areas such as Al Ain are expected to experience low visibility range of 2,000 to 3,000 metres. Additionally, the country will experience a light, fresh breeze in various areas.
"Temperatures are also going to fluctuate over the next few days, with interior areas, such as Al Ain and the Western Region, experiencing 44C to 47C temperatures while the maximum temperatures in coastal areas, such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Fujairah will range from 37C to 43C in the coming days," he said.
Humidity level
The humidity level during the next four days will be between 10 to 25 per cent during daytime and 45 to 80 per cent at night while in coastal areas, it will remain between 25 to 55 per cent during the day and 65 to 90 per cent at night.
"These levels are within the expected humidity range during these hot summer months in the UAE," the meteorologist said.
