Al Ain: Weather forecasters expect chances of drizzle and light showers any time from tomorrow evening to Monday in different parts of the emirates.

Weather reports from around the world

The chances of rain are just 20 per cent and it will only be traces, said the forecasters. Increasing cold in the desert areas and high humidity resulted in fog in some areas on Wednesday night that continued until 9.30am yesterday.

The fog patches were dense in some areas around Al Ain and the western areas, reducing visibility to less than 500 metres.

The winds are expected to be slight to moderately rough but getting more strength at time and blowing dust and sand in the interior areas. Relative humidity is also expected to increase at night and early in the morning in the coastal and internal areas.

The NCMS said weather will continue to be partly cloudy at times until Sunday at least. People planning sea trips during the weekend must check the weather forecast first before setting off. Strong winds have been generating five to seven feet high waves in some sections of the Arabian Gulf.

The temperatures are likely to range between 15 and 27°C in the coastal areas, 8 to 29°C in the interior areas, and 12°C to 21°C in the mountainous areas
